'Carry You on my shoulders' single release

We are set to release our next single 'Carry you on my shoulders' on 11.04.11 through Run of the Mill Records (UK) and Silver Rocket (Czech).

It will be available on a limited 7"vinyl with a free CD and pin badge or digital download. The artwork features a collection of photographs taken on an original Lomo camera.

We took a slightly different approach on the B side track with a stripped down arrangement of the song 'Wish List'. It was recorded over a few weeks by ourselves and good friend James Hutchinson. Guitars and voices were put down in a very small bathroom with additional vocals from The Lake Poets. Percussion and bass were recorded separately in an old miners hall with other parts added in a church hall including a Steinway grand piano and Timpani. The B side will be named 'Wished out' and will be exclusive to this single release.

Futurefest Photo and the New Year

We had a great time at Futurefest; it was great to play alongside good friends Futureheads, Frankie and The Heartstrings and Where the Sea Starts. A wonderful photographer who goes by the name of Jazzy Lemon took some pretty cool shots of us here.

Christmas Coal Gifts

Our gig we hosted in Sunderland went down a storm - thanks for Holy Mammoth, Nick and The Lake Poets for making it special.

Recording and this Weekend

We're heading into the studio this weekend to record a song with the wonderful 'Beast' aka Neil Bassett. It's going to be our next single which is in the process of getting sorted. We're also heading down to Leeds to play with Tall Ships and Tangled hair for our good pals, Dirty Otter - check our their blog.

Heartstrings

So then, Richard is off his crutches now and the band did their first gig in while last night. We played with Frankie and the Heartstrings and Lets Buy Happiness at an amazing workingmen's club just over the Wear Bridge in Sunderland. A massive thanks to the Heartstrings for having us! Leeds next week.
